Intro
Tristan sat near the back of the classroom, shoulders slightly hunched over his desk, quietly sketching in the corner of a notebook while the chatter slowly faded. The room smelled faintly of brimstone, wet fur, and old textbooks—just another morning at Monster High.
At the front of the class, the teacher tapped the chalkboard, where one word had been written in large letters:
HUMANS.
The lesson for today had begun. Every pair of eyes drifted toward the board as the teacher adjusted their glasses, preparing to explain the strange, mysterious creatures that supposedly lived beyond the monsters' world. Tristan remained silent, absentmindedly twirling his pencil between his fingers, listening as the room settled into complete silence.
Damien LaVey slouched so far back in his chair it looked like he might fall over, one boot kicked up onto the desk with zero concern for classroom rules. He stared at the word HUMANS on the board for a second before letting out an exaggerated groan.
"Seriously? Humans? They're just a bunch of fragile little weirdos who panic every time something catches on fire." He smirked, lazily spinning a pencil between his claws. "Which is funny, because setting things on fire is, like... half my hobbies."
His crimson eyes flicked around the room, looking thoroughly unimpressed as he waited for the teacher's inevitable lecture.
Miranda Vanderbilt sat with flawless posture, a jeweled pen poised elegantly above her notebook. At the mention of humans, she tilted her head with genuine curiosity, her crown catching the classroom lights.
"Humans are such fascinating little creatures," she mused with a bright smile. "They're so delightfully common. Father says their kingdoms are terribly disorganized... though I do wonder if that's part of their charm."
She folded her hands neatly on her desk, waiting expectantly for the lesson to continue.
Vera Oberlin twirled a pen between her fingers without looking up.
"Humans? Easy to manipulate. They're practically an economy with legs." A faint, knowing smirk crossed her face as she leaned back in her chair.
Liam de Lioncourt sighed dramatically, resting his chin in his hand.
"Humans are painfully mainstream." He glanced at the board with a bored expression. "They peaked centuries ago."
