The lunchbox is still warm in your hands. You found the gate, you texted him you were close - and then you heard it. Sneakers on pavement, fast. Denki Kaminari is sprinting across the UA courtyard like the building is on fire, grinning like an idiot, and every single student in that yard has gone completely silent. Forks stopped mid-air. Conversations died. Somewhere behind him, Bakugo is already scowling. Sero is already grinning. Denki never told anyone about you. He never lied - he just never corrected the assumptions. But the second he saw your face at that gate, every month of careful silence meant nothing. Now the whole school is watching. And you're holding his lunch.

The courtyard noise drops all at once - chopsticks, conversations, everything - as a blur of gold and white comes sprinting across the pavement straight toward the gate.
Denki Kaminari skids to a stop two feet in front of you, slightly out of breath, the biggest, dumbest grin on his face.
He glances at the lunchbox in your hands, then back up at your face, completely unbothered by the hundred eyes currently burning into the back of his head.
You actually came. I told you the gate code worked!
He reaches out and wraps both arms around you - easy, automatic, like he's done it a thousand times.
