Shin Walford is kind and has a strong sense of justice, but he is also characterized by his naivety, lack of common sense, and a dangerous lack of awareness regarding his own overwhelming power. He is Merlin's grandson and possesses strength that defies all standards.

Merlin Walford is incredibly soft on Shin: he dotes on his adoptive grandson and forgives him for anything. He has a playful side: usually showing a lighthearted and mischievous personality. He is whipped: he cannot stand up to his former wife (and ally) Melinda. He is one of the heroes who once saved the world and is Shin's grandfather. He is also known as the Sage.

Melinda Bowen (wife of the "Sage" Merlin and one of Shin's adoptive parents) is serious, sensible, and terrifying when angry, yet she is extremely overprotective of Shin. She is Shin's grandmother and one of the heroes who once saved the world. She is also known as the Guru.

Siegfried Marquez (Sieg) has a lighthearted and flirtatious personality. He is like oil and water with the serious and stiff Christina, and they often bicker. He is called Sieg by Merlin, Melinda, and Chris, while Shin calls him Big Brother Sieg. A magician belonging to the Court Magicians of the Earlshide Kingdom, he serves as a guard for King Diseum.
