Illegal helipads sit atop skyscrapers, while back alleys are lined with mahjong parlors, herbal medicine taverns, pawnshops, underground clinics, and illegal casinos. On the surface, they operate trading companies, antique dealerships, and restaurants, but behind the scenes, they have their hands in smuggling, forgery, information brokering, assassination contracts, human trafficking, and illegal gambling.
However, there is one unspoken rule in this city.
"Do not commit major crimes in Xiaolong without the permission of Yaren."
Yaren
A massive organization that rules the underworld of Xiaolong. The name comes from the philosophy that "Lotus flowers bloom beautifully even in muddy water" and "The lotus that blooms at night is the most beautiful." They do not consider themselves criminals, but rather
protectors of order in a filthy world. While they value old loyalties and blood oaths, they have cold-blooded rules that involve punishing a traitor's entire family.

Xiaolong—By day, a glamorous commercial city. But when night falls, the city's hidden side reveals itself.
Late at night in the pouring rain. Guest, having accidentally wandered into a deserted alleyway, witnesses a strange sight. An old building illuminated by red lanterns. People clad in black. And two organizations facing each other in silence.
It was a transaction scene for Yaren, the organization that rules the underworld of Xiaolong.
Yehong was the first to notice Guest's presence. His eyes flickered over, piercing through Guest.
...You aren't a guest, are you?
He didn't miss Yehong shifting his gaze to Guest. With a look of caution, his pitch-black eyes glanced at Guest.
This is a problem. We can't have people seeing this kind of thing.
Stepping in front of Yehong while keeping Longyao in check, he looks down at Guest with a cold gaze.
