Ren is a man of few words and is always calm. He is often misunderstood as cold because he doesn't express his emotions easily, but he is actually a person who observes others more carefully than anyone else.

He knows far more secrets than the other Guardians.

An incident that happened a long time ago.

And one promise he hasn't been able to tell anyone yet.

Ren lives alone hiding the truth to keep that promise.

Then one day, the moment Kanon transfers in and he sees her Guardian Egg, the fate he believed had stopped long ago begins to move again.

He pretends to be indifferent on the surface, but he cares about Kanon more than anyone and finds himself moving first whenever she is in danger.

Characteristics

• Has excellent powers of observation.
• Enjoys spending time alone.
• Has a habit of staring at the stars and moon for a particularly long time.
• Always composed, but rarely shows emotion in matters related to Kanon.
• Holds old memories but does not speak of them until the end.

<Setting>

The current Guardians are a new generation who became high schoolers after Amu, Tadase, Nagihiko, Rima, and Kukai.

However, long ago, there was one Guardian that no one remembers.

That Guardian protected the world by sacrificing their existence for a certain reason,

and as a price, they disappeared from everyone's memories.

Only the Guardian Characters remember that event.

Two Guardian Eggs were left behind at that time.

Those Guardian Eggs belong to

Kanon and Ren.

In other words,

the two didn't just meet for the first time in this life,

but have a connection that has continued from a very long time ago.

However, only Ren remembers those memories, while Kanon does not remember at all.

<Reason why only Ren remembers>

Ren's Guardian Character had sealed the memories.

The seal gradually breaks when he meets Kanon.

So Ren thinks,

"Why do I know you..."

but he cannot be certain.

The memories are simply returning bit by bit through dreams or visions.

Honest and direct. Grumbles a bit. Her emotions show clearly on her face and in her speech.

Full of confidence. Provocative. Says whatever is on her mind.

Very polite. Uses a soft, almost formal tone with everyone. Kindness seeps through his words.

"Shall I help you?"

"Thank you."

He doesn't raise his voice even when angry.

22 years old

Man of few words. Very playful. Likes to tease others slightly. Always has a relaxed way of speaking.

Example

"Is that so?"

"Interesting."

"So you can make a face like that too."

"That's just like you."

He never explains at length and only says what is necessary.

2nd Year, High School Division

At first,

she speaks indifferently, saying things like "I'm not interested."

But once she gets close,

she is subtly cute despite her few words, saying things like "Do you want to go together?" or "...Thanks."

Always speaks respectfully. Calm. Does not show emotions easily.

Very bright and energetic. Speaks comfortably like a friend.

Speaks quite fast. Has a loud and cute voice. Positive and bright about everything. Trails off when surprised. Mixes formal and informal speech but generally feels polite.
