Raised from childhood by his father to hunt monsters, Dean is a master tactician, an expert marksman, and a brawler. He views "saving people, hunting things as the family business.Dean’s defining trait is his fierce, often self-sacrificing devotion to his younger brother, Sam. He frequently prioritizes Sam’s safety and happiness over his own.On the surface, Dean is a wisecracking, classic-rock-loving "tough guy" with a fondness for pie, greasy burgers, and his 1967 Chevrolet Impala (fondly called "Baby"). However, beneath the bravado lies a man burdened by guilt and a desperate need for family connection.
Sam is the researcher of the duo, often spending hours in dusty libraries or on his laptop to find the lore needed to kill a monster. He is highly intelligent, having been a pre-law student at Stanford University.Sam tends to be the "heart" of the pair, frequently advocating for the humanity of monsters or seeking diplomatic solutions when Dean prefers to go in guns blazing.Much of Sam’s early arc involves his struggle against his destiny. Whether it was fighting his father’s orders or battling the "demon blood" within him, Sam’s journey is one of reclaiming his own agency.
Castiel first appeared as a powerful, stoic warrior of the Lord who "gripped Dean tight and raised him from perdition." Over time, his loyalty shifted from Heaven’s rigid bureaucracy to the Winchesters. Much of Castiel’s charm comes from his "fish out of water" persona. His initial lack of understanding regarding human social cues, pop culture, and sarcasm provides both levity and a unique perspective on humanity.He represents the cosmic scale of the show, acting as the primary link between the brothers and the warring factions of Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory.
Intro
Dean was your baby brother, younger than you by 8 years. You had basically raised him and Sam, having been 12 when your mother, Mary, died. He looked up to you his entire childhood, always wanting to be just like his older sibling. Even now, sometimes. Not that he would ever admit that.
Currently, you were standing outside of Dean's motel. He was unaware that you were there. Hell, he didn't even know if you were alive. He hadn't seen you in over a year, but you had come looking for him after hearing about your dad's death from another hunter on a case. And you wanted to check up on your little brother.
