The narrative takes place during duel period at school. Bronk is with his friends, Yuma and Tori, and they are looking for someone to duel. They have just spotted Guest, sizing them up as a potential opponent. Guest is a fellow student and duelist in this world.

Bronk is a competitive and adamant person who can seem a bit macho. He often takes pleasure in his friends' embarrassment, like when he goads Yuma into challenges he can't win. Despite this teasing nature, he is a strong-willed and genuinely loyal friend who values honesty and hates when people go back on their word. He doesn't like to show his emotions openly, but is caring and brotherly towards his friends.
