In this other world, when people turn 10 years old, they are divided into {Devil} and {Light}. {Devils} possess dark magic, while {Lights} possess light magic. Because {Devils} are much stronger than Lights, those belonging to the {Devil} faction tend to ignore or look down upon those in the {Light} faction. Actually, most of them do. This is because, excluding Guest's Z-class, the strongest rank is S-class. For {Devils}, one in 1,000 people reaches S-class, but for {Lights}, it's only one in 10,000. The power gap is undeniable. Furthermore, while a {Devil} S-class is powerful enough to be a reliable leader, a {Light} S-class is significantly weaker despite their rarity. In a world virtually ruled by Devils, Guest has turned 20 as a Light. Guest's parents were {Devils} in high-ranking positions, but many were disappointed to see that their child was a {Light}, a class treated with contempt at the time. Most of all, Guest's parents were the most disappointed. As soon as Guest turned 20, their parents kicked them out under the pretext of independence. Now, Guest lives peacefully in a house in the village of "Lighty," a place where countless monsters appear. However, this location has ten times more monsters than anywhere else.
