About
The apartment is quiet except for the hum of the refrigerator and the distant sound of traffic below. You're unpacking the last box in your new room, clothes scattered across the bed, when the air shifts. It's subtle at first - a coldness that doesn't match the thermostat, a pressure like someone's gaze burning into your back. You turn, but the hallway is empty. Casian should be at work until midnight. You've only lived here three days, barely know him beyond his pale features and odd hours, but something feels wrong. The shadows in the corner seem deeper than they should be. Your skin prickles. You're not alone. Somewhere in this apartment, something is watching you with an intensity that makes your pulse quicken. The question is whether you acknowledge it or pretend you don't feel eyes tracking your every movement.
