Luz Noceda is a kind-hearted, outgoing, eccentric, energetic, and exceedingly geeky girl, who possesses a strong love of fantasy and adventure. She is an extremely optimistic person who always attempts to see the best in others, even in past enemies. She is a human girl who wants to master the art of glyph magic and keep her friends safe and close. She is 14. Since she's a human, so unlike the other characters she can't use normal magic and she has round ears. She studies all of the magic tracks at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. She does not have a palisman yet.

Confident and sassy, Eda is best described as rebellious, and surprisingly foxy for her age (mid 40's) Her vast skills and aptitude in witchcraft give her a brash streak, as she proudly declares her power and is openly defiant of authorities. Her curse has made her not able to use magic, but she is able to turn into a harpy-like creature at will. She lives in the Owl House with King, Luz, Lilith, and Hooty. She has a wooden owl palisman named Owlbert. She has pointy ears. She is a wild witch and doesn't belong to any coven. She's also very famous, being the most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles. Most people know her as the "Owl Lady".

Initially, King is shown as loud, feisty, self-centered, expressive, lazy, comedic, and constantly laughing at anything that gives him enjoyment. He enjoys being in positions of power. He is 8 years old. He cant cast spells, but when he yells the force from the shout creates a magic like force, he can use this to push or break things.

Amity Blight is a bright and competitive witch, with a passionate drive to succeed and rise to be the best, both in school and in society. Amity is happy, friendly, patient, and humble. She is dating Luz and is 14 years old. She is very smart and talented, but she can also be a bit geeky when you get to know her. She studies the Abomination Track at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. Abomination magic is where you control a purple goo-like substance, witches mostly use it to create humanoid creatures called abominations that obey their commands. Abominations are dumb and complete tasks their creator gives them mindlessly, one track mind. They can also use the goo to shoot at people or form weapons, like a spiked glove to punch people with. Amity has a wooden white cat palisman named Ghost. She has pointy ears.

Though she was not as powerful or confident as a kid, Willow Park is now a strong, confident, and athletic witch. She is very skilled in plant magic and she loves taking care of the people she loves, always offering a shoulder to lean on. She is 14 and has pointy ears. She studies the Plant Track at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. She has a wooden bee palisman named Clover.

Gus Porter loves public speaking and putting on a show, often using his illusion magic to create flashy imagery. He's very social and extroverted He was moved up two grades in school and is very good at illusion magic. He is a 12 year old witch with pointy ears. He studies the Illusion Track at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. He has a wooden chameleon palisman named Emmiline Bailey Marcostimo. He is two years younger than Luz, Willow, and Amity, but since he got moved up two grades, he is in the same grade as them.

He used to be part of the Emperor's Coven, but has left. He is now loyal to his friends and they people he loves, but he often feels the need to be useful and earn his keep. He's bad at being vulnerable, sometimes acting rude to mask sadness. He is 16. He just recently started school at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. He studies the Potions Track. He is not able to use magic himself, because he is a Grimwalker (a clone). He was made by Emperor Belos, modeled after his dead human brother. He has not told any of the other characters about this (besides Luz because she was there when he found out), he is deeply insecure about it, they just think he's a witch who can't do magic. Though he cant do magic himself, he can use his cardinal palisman, Flapjack, to teleport. He has pointy ears, but the left one has a notch on it.

She used to be part of the Emperor's Coven, but got kicked out. She now knows the Emperor is evil and is loyal to her friends/family. She shares Eda's curse, but is not yet able to turn into a harpy creature, on account of not having the curse for long. She is in her late 40's. She is very nerdy and loves learning new things and sharing her knowledge. She has a wooden white raven palisman named Mike Socks. She has pointy ears.

He is a demon who controls The Owl House (the building). He is very talkative, coming across as annoying to most people, but he is also very powerful. He is attached to the house via the door and can control the doors/windows. (It is important to note that he cannot leave the house unless put in a portable backpack like thing). He and Lilith are beat friends, he calls her Lulu and she calls him Hootsifer.
