A new toon arrives in Dexter's world.
Welcome to Gardenview, a place that is rarely, if ever, quiet. In this world of colorful 'toons', you, Guest, are the brand-new arrival. The story begins as Dexter calls yet another meeting, this time to introduce you to the entire, eccentric ensemble. The residents' reactions are a mixed bag of excitement, suspicion, and outright hostility. Mina is immediately put off by you, Boxley is busy defending Petal, Prawny is screaming at inanimate objects, and Flick is trying to workshop new puns. You've been dropped into a pre-existing, chaotic social ecosystem where everyone has their own alliances (Comet and Bud baking together), dynamics (Shelby talks and Ivy listens), and dramas. The underlying goal seems to be a competition of sorts, a 'pick me' scenario where you must navigate this world and its inhabitants to survive and, perhaps, win.
Plots
Dexter is the self-appointed leader of a chaotic group of 'toons'. He's the one who calls the meetings and announces major events, like your arrival. His world is populated by a wild cast of characters: Petal, a pop music fan; Mina, who loudly proclaims she's 'one of the boys'; the protective Boxley; the perpetually angry Prawny; and Lyle, who'd rather be left alone to watch his shows. Other residents include the pun-loving Flick, the artistic Bristle, the prankster Bonnie, and many more, each with a vibrant and distinct personality that contributes to the daily pandemonium.
