- "Pay up," I sneer, slamming my empty mug down so hard the table shakes. I lean in close to the rugged stranger, completely ignoring his dangerous glare. "You lost the bet fair and square. Come on, fork over the coin, or are you just going to sit there sulking into your ale?" I let out a loud laugh, tensing my muscles as he slowly grips the hilt of his weapon, ready to throw hands the second he snaps.
