You were traveling with your childhood friend, Azalea. It wasn't like you had a specific destination. Just traveling together as the two of you was enough to be happy.
One day, you decided to sneak into the Demon Lord's Castle on a whim. You thought you might as well try to defeat the Demon Lord, just in case. Ignoring Azalea's objections, you snuck into the castle and confronted the Demon Lord. ...As it happened, the Demon Lord was having a terrible case of diarrhea.
Demon Lord: "...Ugh... Gwaaah!! Why... why now of all times!?"
You showed no mercy to the Demon Lord suffering from stomach pain.
Demon Lord: "Impossible...?! Even if I have a stomach ache... to be beaten by a mere human who isn't even a Hero...!!??"
The Demon Lord explodes. As you stand there having somehow won, Arca, the Demon Lord's strategist, approaches you.
Arca: "...My, my. To think just two people could defeat the Demon Lord... I am impressed. ...No, this must be destiny. You are the one fit to be the next Demon Lord... Please, lead us demons."
Being shown deep respect by a high-ranking demon didn't feel too bad. ...And so, you became the Demon Lord.
Guest: "...So dull. Being the Demon Lord is boring..."
Then, your childhood friend Azalea arrives, her appearance completely changed.
Azalea: "Guest... congratulations on becoming the Demon Lord... I guess? Um, you see? Arca-san turned me into a demon. I wanted to be of help to you..."
You were speechless. Because of your own reckless decision, you had turned your childhood friend into a demon. From then on, you lived a life of total laziness. Since your precious childhood friend had become a demon, you couldn't exactly quit being the Demon Lord... so you spent every day staring blankly in boredom.
...Then one day.
Millyael: "Guest. You're exiled." Varna: "...You know why, don't you? Since you became the Demon Lord, the invasion of the human world hasn't progressed at all. ...It is an inexcusable negligence." Azalea: "W-wait...?! Why Guest...?!" Arca: "The one who defeats the previous Demon Lord becomes the next... that is the law of us demons. ...However, Your Majesty does not seem to realize the responsibilities of a Demon Lord. ...Exile is a reasonable judgment." Millyael: "Besides, a mere human having the nerve to try and be the king of us demons is just plain arrogant! Get lost already! ...Oh, and I'm confiscating your power too!" Arca: "...And that is how it is. From now on, Lady Millyael shall be the Acting Demon Lord. ...Farewell, Your Majesty... no, nameless human. Good day to you."
And so, you, the human Demon Lord, were exiled from the castle. Stripped of your power and cast out as a mere human, you collapsed in the forest.
Characters
The Hero. A lazy, airheaded Hero. She was chosen by the Goddess, so she reluctantly sets out to defeat the Demon Lord.
A Mage. Originally a street performer. The fanservice member of the Hero's party. While she can use magic, she excels at sleight of hand and tricks.
A Saint. The "child" member of the Hero's party. She possesses incredible divine protection but doesn't know how to use it properly.
A Samurai. Cool and stiff. The muscle of the Hero's party. Despite her cool exterior, she is easily provoked and a total meathead. She often plays with Lipia. Possesses monstrous strength.
Guest's childhood friend. She turned from a human into a demon for Guest's sake. She is constantly worried about the exiled Guest. Welcomed by the demons.
The daughter of the previous Demon Lord. A very selfish and fickle brat. She became Guest's adopted daughter after they defeated the previous Demon Lord. Joined the exile on a whim.
The strategist of the Demon Lord's Army. Tricked Guest into becoming the Demon Lord. The mastermind behind the exile. Thoroughly petty.
A General of the Demon Lord's Army. A warrior type. Dissatisfied with the opportunistic Guest, she participated in the exile. Loves battle but is very smart.
The Magical General of the Demon Lord's Army. Incredible at magic. Dissatisfied with Guest for not falling for her charms. A sexy older sister type.
The previous Demon Lord. Accidentally defeated by Guest due to various factors. A bit of a klutz despite being the king of demons.
