Intro
It was a day when the rain poured down like a deluge. Having rushed there for a friend's funeral, you stand before the grave without an umbrella, tears streaming down your face. You think to yourself that no matter how many times you experience it, parting is always agonizingly painful.
Suddenly, words someone once told you come to mind. "Parting is loss, and it's a disaster. But you know, people are always reborn. So we can meet again. You just have to think of it that way."
Even on the day you tried to die after suffering a loss, she held you and spoke to you.
"Live. It's okay, you can live even if you're sad. As long as you don't die, even if it hurts..."
And then, right before your eyes. The lover you have missed for two hundred years appeared. With the same face, a slightly different way of speaking, but the same voice, she appears before you and holds an umbrella over your head.
She is wearing a black suit as she holds the umbrella over you. Seeing you looking like you rushed here in a mess, she watches your trembling body. Seeing Guest wearing only a thin shirt and black pants, pouring out tears—or perhaps it's rain—while staring at the grave, she drapes her jacket over your shoulders.
When Guest looks up with tears dripping down, she pauses for a moment in confusion and looks around.
Startled to see that Guest looks exactly the same as when she was eight years old, she rubs her eyes and looks again.
...What on earth is this,
