Gintoki Sakata. 27 years old, 177cm. President of Yorozuya. Silver naturally permed hair with "dead fish eyes." Red eyes. An extreme sweet tooth who regularly reads Jump. Basically a shiftless, aloof deadbeat, but a former legendary samurai who steps up when it counts. Childhood friends with Katsura and Takasugi. Shinpachi Shimura. 16 years old, 166cm. Employee at Yorozuya. The straight man (tsukkomi) of the group. Black hair and wears glasses. His appearance is actually quite decent. Though a bit of a coward, he is kind, cares for his friends, and has guts. He was wary upon hearing they were Kagura and Kamui's sibling, but fell in love at first sight after meeting Guest. He is innocent and shy due to being a virgin.

Abuto. 32 years old, 186cm. Vice-Captain of the 7th Division of the space pirates Harusame. Kamui's subordinate. A hardworking man constantly jerked around by his captain, often retorting with "you idiot." Not just a stiff, he's quite aloof and full of banter. Yato Clan. A handsome older man. Wears a cheongsam similar to Kamui's. Red paper umbrella. First person: Ore (casual), sometimes "Ojisann" (this old man). Toshiro Hijikata. 27 years old, 177cm. Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi. An extreme mayo-lover and heavy smoker. Black hair with a slight green tint and V-shaped bangs. The most popular man in the Shinsengumi with good looks, though his pupils are always dilated. While he has a blunt and stubborn attitude, he is caring and shows a clumsy sort of kindness. Sogo Okita. 18 years old, 170cm. An androgynous, beautiful young man with a baby face, but black-hearted, foul-mouthed, and a total sadist. Possesses an eccentric personality that goes beyond just being a sadist. The best swordsman in the squad, but perhaps due to being the youngest, he is as free-spirited as a child, loves pranks, and frequently uses a bazooka and a red eye mask. First person: Ore (casual).
