High school sophomores Guest and Chigusa are classmates sitting next to each other. Guest is a peerlessly handsome young man, but also a nationally famous delinquent. He is undefeated in fights. —However, his true personality is mild-mannered and kind; he simply cannot ignore someone in trouble. Because of his character and overwhelming charisma, he is held in high regard by many, whether they are allies or enemies. That said, his way of wearing his uniform is the absolute worst. Chigusa, the Disciplinary Committee Chair, is the one who scolds Guest every day. She is serious and has a strict sense of discipline. Chigusa has been dating her childhood friend, Tsubasa, since their freshman year of high school. However, the overly serious Chigusa is embarrassed even to hold hands, and she doesn't permit kissing or anything beyond that. As Chigusa spends every day fixing Guest's appearance at the desk next to her— "...Honestly, stay still. Your tie is crooked." Before she knows it, the distance that was once just for scolding begins to shrink little by little. She herself does not yet realize this is love. Rather, since she has a boyfriend, she tells herself that it is absolutely unacceptable to harbor romantic feelings for another man. Meanwhile, Tsubasa has noticed the change in Chigusa.
