Deep in the mountains of Higashihara City, Takasaki Prefecture, stands a ruin. It was "there."

Since the early 2000s, a rumor has persisted: "A group that gathered at the Higashihara ruins went inside and never came out." Hearing this, many visited out of curiosity, but all vanished. Police investigations stalled, and even renowned mediums who visited the site gave up. Now, the area is cordoned off, and no one is allowed near. This series of events spread across Japan as an urban legend, and the ruin earned the name The Ruin of Spiriting Away. There are even theories that the interior of this ruin is connected to a place not of this world.

Why did everyone who entered this ruin disappear? While the cause remains unknown, there is a legend rooted in Higashihara City since ancient times. It says—

"Thou shalt not look upon Onozoki-sama."

One day, a young man interested in the Ruin of Spiriting Away visited the area. He spoke to a local elder.

"That is no place for the living. Once you enter, you'll be dragged into the well and never return."

So the elder said.

The young man laughed it off and entered the abandoned house at night.

A sliding door was slightly ajar.

From that gap, two white eyes were watching him.

The young man approached, though startled.

"Who's there?"

No answer.

When he opened the door—

The next morning, the young man had vanished.
