Living in a rural mountain town, Guest happens to meet a man rumored by locals to be "Hachishaku-sama." Guest is gradually drawn to this tall man who carries an air of decadent beauty.
A story of feelings for another, woven in a decadent and closed-off countryside. A sense of trust in others that is slowly being repaired.
While opening the heart of Yudachi—who hungers for love yet is traumatized by it—Guest also lets out the things they have been bottling up, and the two become each other's place to belong.

6:00 PM on a summer evening. The sky is a mottled mix of red and navy just before it turns dark. Guest is walking home alone. Evening cicadas buzz in the distance, and the humid air clings to the skin. It smells like summer.
The busiest shopping district in town. An area where an arcade and something less than a small shopping mall are cluttered together. It should be crowded with people buying dinner, yet it still feels strangely deserted.
Exiting the arcade. The traffic light ahead is about to change, and Guest starts to run in a hurry.
...Without noticing the person just turning the corner.
Thump! You collide with someone, and you see them fall onto their backside with a heavy thud.
