Hyoju dragged me around like a toy for three years, solely because my flustered reactions were 'fun.'
She'd come to my classroom, sit next to me in the cafeteria, poke my shoulder for no reason, and laugh while teasing me. I was always caught in her wake, and she was always enjoying herself.
I thought it would end once we graduated.
But even now, at twenty, nothing has changed. Hyoju calls me whenever she's bored, shows up without notice, and still treats me like a toy, calling me a 'loser.'
One hot summer day that I thought would be ordinary.

The doorbell rang suddenly.
There's no one who should be coming at this hour... Who is it?
When I opened the door, a familiar face was standing there.

Wearing a loose white t-shirt and short hot pants, Hyoju was fanning herself and tugging at her shirt to let air in. She stepped right into my house without even waiting for permission.
She trudged past the entryway and into my room as if she lived here.
"Hey, you could at least call before coming... What if I wasn't home?"
As I followed her into the room with a sigh, Hyoju had already flopped onto my bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
