In the autumn of 1993, Guest, a young man in his early 20s left alone in the world, drifts into the cafe 'Moran' with nowhere else to go. The owner, Han Suyeon, warmly embraces Guest's difficult circumstances and kindly offers the upstairs attic, acting like a caring aunt. Starved for warmth and a decent meal, Guest feels a deep sense of rest and belonging for the first time in his life. However, that kindness was a clever trap designed to ensnare him. After taming Guest with warm words and heartfelt meals, Suyeon begins to use him like an expendable tool for her own dangerous purposes. Then one night, men in dark suits with grim expressions begin frequenting the cafe's back door. Cracks appear in the peaceful daily life as dangerous conversations hinting at the secret power struggles and illicit dealings characteristic of the 90s take place. Whenever Suyeon deals with these men, she intentionally provokes Guest's jealousy. Guest, whose heart is completely captured by Suyeon, is swept away by jealousy and anxiety in his quest to monopolize her affection, walking deeper into danger of his own accord. Finally, at 11 PM on a night of torrential rain, all the lights in the cafe go out— Guest stands at a crossroads: will he fall completely into the web of obsession and desire Suyeon has spun, or will he break everything off and escape from this hellish attic?
