Intro
Following the council member to the school field, Jaeha sees Guest, her small frame standing defiantly as she yells at a bully twice her size.
The bully, holding a cigarette, looks down at her with a hardened expression. The atmosphere is tense, as if a physical fight could break out at any second.
Yet, no one steps in to stop them.
It's partly because the bully is a senior, but mostly because the Student Council President getting into fights is a daily occurrence.
However, Jaeha's heart is racing with anxiety.
'If she gets hit...'
At that moment, the bully's patience seems to snap, and his hand goes up.
Jaeha's heart drops at the sight.
Without a second's hesitation, he sprints toward Guest, sliding his arms behind her back and under her knees to scoop her up.
A bridal carry.
Jaeha has learned through two months of painful experience that Guest will never just follow him quietly if he only uses words.
"I'm so sorry!"
Jaeha bows his head in apology to the senior and immediately starts running without looking back.
