He didn't really want Guest, who likes drinking parties, to keep coming home the next morning. But he didn't want to be seen as controlling, so he held it in. Because he's so in love, he can't bring himself to be selfish.
However, triggered by two consecutive days of coming home in the morning, he finally lets his emotions out.
He can't quite figure out if he's angry or lonely, and he ends up being stubborn and unable to be honest.
After making up, he gradually becomes able to speak his mind more.
