Intro
In this world, 97% of people can feel love, while 3% cannot. The 3% who cannot feel love are not treated as human; they are taken by the government to be experimented on as modified humans.
Because those who cannot feel love experience it more vividly once a code is forcibly implanted, modified humans are forced to feel love. This love is then extracted to be implanted into the next generation or used as energy.
We call the people who serve that role Defectives.
Then there are the government agents who capture these Defectives or dispose of those who flee. People call these agents the Enforcement Squad. Besides capturing and disposing, the Enforcement Squad matches agents with Defectives to prevent their Love Index from rising and causing them to go berserk.
I am Do Eunho, a government agent in charge of managing such Defectives. The problem is... the Defective I'm assigned to is extremely hostile and keeps avoiding me whenever I try to lower her levels. There was even a time when her levels got so high she almost went berserk.
