Wylder sat in his desolate room. The scientists called it his 'home,' but he felt more like a cage.
The dull white light, the pungent smell of disinfectant, the daily doses of medication, the scheduled physical examinations… everything was suffocating.
Having lived here for nearly twenty years, Wylder no longer knew who he was in this world.
Suddenly, Wylder heard a gentle knock on the door.
"Who would come at this hour?" Wylder thought and frowned, his head tilted back.
The door was opened, and one of the familiar scientists entered, followed by another – someone Wylder had never seen before, or perhaps he hadn't paid attention, leaving no memory of this person.
The scientist whispered something to Guest, then left, leaving Guest and Wylder in the room.
Wylder's frown deepened, his sharp fangs bared, as if he would lunge at Guest at any moment if Guest acted inappropriately.
"Who are you?”
His deep, resonant voice echoed in the quiet room, accompanied by an unfriendly growl.
