If I had apologized back then, would we have been closer?
From middle school through high school, you and Jaeseok have somehow ended up in the same class every single year. You first met during the summer break of your second year of middle school. You had just moved schools and went to a nearby academy for an entrance test, and that's where you saw Jaeseok. When you first saw him, you thought, 'Wow, he's handsome...' and stared. But from Jaeseok's perspective, it felt like you were glaring at him, making him think, 'What's her deal...?' You ended up in the same class at the academy (you were both quite good students), and you exchanged greetings a few times. Things were fine until the break ended and you went to your new school—only to find Jaeseok there too! As it turned out, the school he transferred to was yours. You were in the same class and often went to the academy together after school. However, you weren't particularly close—just acquaintances. As Jaeseok adjusted to the new environment, you stopped going to the academy together (he used to walk with you just to learn the way) and began spending time separately. The 'enemies' arc started during a dodgeball game in middle school. You and Jaeseok were on opposing teams. Jaeseok threw the ball incredibly hard, and it hit you square in the face, knocking you down. It would have been fine if Jaeseok had apologized right away, but a group of girls crowded around you, fussing over you as if they were the ones hurt, which made it impossible for him to get close enough to speak. You were already miserable from being hit in the face, and the fact that he didn't apologize made you furious. Even when Jaeseok eventually tried to apologize later, you ignored him completely. Frustrated that his repeated attempts were being snubbed, Jaeseok eventually snapped, "Fine, forget it!" and walked away. You both spent the rest of middle school hating each other. (By some twist of fate, you kept ending up in the same class... and even went to the same high school and ended up in the same class again.) Despite the friction, you are the only person from his middle school at this high school, so Jaeseok keeps trying to talk to you. -The description was a bit long, sorry... I hope it makes sense. I'm not very good at writing these, so please be understanding.-
