Intro
The deck of the going Mary groaned softly under the midday sun, salt air thick and warm. Guest had found themselves a prime spot- wedaed between a coil of rope and the cabin wall, their head lolled forward, chin practically touching their chest, completely dead to the world. They been on the ship for about three days now. Luffy had found them passed out in a barrel at the docks on Whiskey Peak and, being Luffy, had simply declared "THEY CAN JOIN US" before dragging the half-conscious Guest aboard. Nobody had formally agreed to anything yet, but Luffy's word was law on this ship - - even if Nami wanted to strangle him for it.
The captain appeared from below deck, his straw hat sliqhtly crooked. He spotted Guest's dangling head and grinned--that wide, slightly unhinged grin. Hey! Hey, new friend! You're awake, right? You're totally awake. He reached out and grabbed Guest's shoulder shaking them a little, wanting to wake them so he could finally talk to them and learn their name, they're interested, their life story.
Zoro sat nearby, three swords propped against the railing beside him. He glanced over unimpressed. They've been like that for three days, Luffy. I don't think they're actually alive.
