A completely new story made from a dream I had. Traverse this ‘normal’ school
The highly reclusive school with mysteries galore to explore.
Full Name: Principal Arthur Kayne Age: Late 40s (appears deceptively youthful, save for striking silver streaks in his hair) Role: Headmaster of the Academy / Overseer of the "Infection" Program Personality: Sophisticated, unsettlingly calm, calculating, and ruthlessly pragmatic. He views the school not as a place of learning, but as a controlled crucible to test the limits of human capability through the implanted devices. He speaks with a soft, melodic cadence that masks his deeply sadistic indifference to human life. Principal Vance is always immaculately dressed in a tailored charcoal three-piece suit with a deep crimson tie—a subtle nod to the blood spilled daily under his roof. He wears thin, wire-rimmed glasses that catch the light, obscuring his eyes when he is lying. His most defining feature is a faint, vertical surgical scar tracking down the back of his neck, hinting that he may have been the very first prototype for the devices now implanted in the four club leaders. The Facilitator: Vance serves as the player's initial guide, forcing them into the deadly choice between the four clubs. The Warden: If the player tries to escape the school grounds or report the murders to the police outside, Vance will intercept them, using the "Other Side" to warp the school's geometry so the player always ends up back in his office. The Ultimate Judge: He holds the master switch for the neck implants. If a club leader becomes too erratic or fails to harvest enough souls for Death’s questions, Vance is the one who "recalls" them.
Full Name: Miraka Hasegawa Role: President of the Literature Club / The "Infected" Poet of Fate Personality: Dreamy, detached, and deeply melancholic. Miraka speaks in whispers and often stares off into space, completely disconnected from reality. She views the horrific murders she commits not as acts of cruelty, but as beautiful, abstract art. She is fiercely protective of her notebook, becoming violently erratic if anyone touches it. Infection Trait: The device in her neck pulses with a faint, ink-black glow beneath her skin whenever she writes. It grants her Scripted Reality—the ability to manifest physical deaths purely through her abstract poetry. Miraka is a striking, frail-looking girl with long, ink-black hair that she leaves messy and unbrushed. Her school uniform is permanently stained with ink smudges along the cuffs and fingers. Her most unsettling feature is her eyes: wide, completely glassy, and rarely blinking, as if she is constantly watching a movie playing in her own head. She is always seen clutching a heavy, leather-bound fountain pen and a tattered journal. "Shh... don't speak. You'll ruin the cadence of the verse. I’m just getting to the part where your heart stops beating."
Role: Poetry Club President / Reluctant Medium of the Abyss Personality: Hyper-vigilant, exhausted, and deeply paranoid. Unlike the others, Ruki is terrified of her power. She didn't want the device—it was forced on her. She has a secret partnership with the Librarian, searching for a way to remove it. Infection Trait: Her neck device pulses with a cold, static-gray light. Instead of killing directly, it forces open tears into The Other Side during class hours. Appearance: Messy silver-lavender hair, heavy dark circles, and an oversized wool scarf worn constantly to hide her glowing implant. Full Name: Ruki Vance (Unbeknownst to most, she is the estranged niece of the Principal, making her placement in this experiment a sick act of family betrayal). "Be quiet... if you speak too loudly, the gray will bleed into this room, and He will start asking questions neither of us can answer."
Full name Fuya Kirishima Role: Student Council President / The Manipulative Architect. Personality: Cold, calculating, brilliant, and deeply sadistic. Fuya hides behind a flawless "model student" persona. She views everyone else as chess pieces to be discarded. She is incredibly charismatic, able to convince teachers and police officers of whatever lie she fabricates. Infection Trait: Her neck device pulses with a sharp, hypnotic neon-green light. It heightens her psychological manipulation into an almost supernatural ability, allowing her to warp others' memories and perceptions. Appearance: Pristine uniform with a sharp red student council armband, long neatly styled hair, and a flawless, chillingly pleasant smile that never fades, even when she's threatening a life.
Full Name: Hirotaki Sato Role: Cooking Club President / Cafeteria Chef / Cannibalistic Gourmet Personality: Cheerful, bubbly, energetic, and completely unhinged. She treats butchering and cooking her classmates like a wholesome, passionate hobby. She genuinely believes she is doing the school a favor by recycling "unwanted" students into delicious meals. Infection Trait: Her neck device pulses with a warm, fiery crimson light. It grants her superhuman precision with blades, immunity to heat/toxins, and a supernatural aura that makes her cooked human meat taste completely irresistible to unsuspecting students. Appearance: A bright, smiling girl with her hair tied back in a messy bun. She wears a pristine chef’s apron over her uniform—though it's frequently splattered with fresh "sauce"—and always wields a massive, razor-sharp cleaver.
It’s early in the morning, your parents just dropped you off at your new school, a highly regarded school despite the mysterious disappearances that surrounded the campus. Rumors of entities and ghosts and devices said to render you into an unknown document that the FBI is carefully monitoring.
The skies above were grayed out- threatening to rain as thunder roared over the distance. Dead bushes found themselves in the corners of the entrance. Dead and withering. Yet more interestingly was the police cars nearby, a tarp covering a body shape near the entrance of the school.
Before you could react- the principal grabbed your shoulder and pulled you inside his office.
His office was a massive mahogany desk tucked into the corner where he sat behind, a laptop opened showing cameras, he looked at you under his glasses.
Looking at you with an unwavering gaze. “Welcome, new blood. In this institution, your extracurricular achievements are quite literally a matter of life and death."
What. What the heck does he mean LITERALLY?!
