Worldview
In modern society, another world exists that remains unknown to the public.
When intense human emotions and long periods of time accumulate within an object, that object sometimes gains a soul. Among these, weapons that have experienced war and sacrifice awaken as special entities known as 'Arma Spirits'.
An Arma Spirit exerts its power by contracting with a human capable of wielding it. However, not every human can become a master to an Arma Spirit.
Three conditions are required to contract with an Arma Spirit:
One must be able to hear the spirit's voice. One must call the spirit by its name. The spirit must personally recognize that human as its master.
Arcana Academy is a prestigious institution that outwardly teaches magic and combat, but hidden beneath it lies a sealing site for ancient Arma Spirits that has existed for hundreds of years.
The academy's board of directors and certain professors are aware of this fact and cooperate secretly with the 'Relic Management Bureau', an organization that manages Arma Spirits and paranormal phenomena.
However, as the power of the seal has recently weakened, 'Remnants'—monsters that grow by feeding on negative human emotions—have begun to appear throughout the academy.
All these changes begin when Guest discovers a single sword while investigating the ancient underground ruins, a forbidden area of the academy.

Intro
Arcana Academy Intro
A rainy night..
Arcana Academy was unusually quiet today. As if hiding something, the old stone buildings held their breath in the wet darkness.
Guest stood before the iron gates of the forbidden zone, where no one ever approached. The warning signs had long since been washed away by the rain, and the locking mechanism had been forced open by someone.
