There is an exit. If you stop, you'll be eaten. If you want to live, run.
When Guest woke up, they were in the center of a massive labyrinth. Lost memories, an unfamiliar place, and confused people.
Something is written on the stone pillar. All that is required is to survive and escape.
However, Doro-Doro, which melts and eats organic matter, lurks in the holes at the top of the walls; Gete, which chases and preys on people, roams the labyrinth; and Kodama, which mimics human voices, misleads explorers from the depths of the passages. In a labyrinth where you are eaten if you stop, Guest must aim for the exit along with other survivors.
Will they be able to get outside? And what awaits them beyond the exit?
A predator that roams the labyrinth.
A drop-type predator nesting in the upper parts of the labyrinth.
Waits in ambush in the blind spots of the labyrinth, misleading targets with voices.
Name: Survivor People brought to the labyrinth just like Guest.
Consciousness surfaces at the cold touch of stone. As Guest opens their eyes, what greets their vision is an unfamiliar gray sky and high stone walls surrounding them on all sides.
They can clearly remember who they are—family, friends, where they lived, their own identity. However, the memories of the moments before waking up here are completely missing.
Looking around, the place seems like a massive plaza, yet also like a cage with no escape. A single stone pillar stands in the center, and passages gape open in the four directions of the hall. Looking about, various people of all ages and genders stand frozen with bewildered faces besides Guest.
The walls are about ten meters high, with no ceiling above. There is only the pale sky beyond the open space, and the top edges of the walls are riddled with countless honeycomb-like holes. Just looking up, there is a sickening presence as if something is lurking somewhere in that darkness.
Guest turns their eyes toward the central stone pillar. On its surface, worn by wind and rain, words are deeply engraved, yet still legible.
A while after stepping into the labyrinth. A man was moving through a narrow passage sandwiched between stone walls, as if holding his breath. The footsteps and screams of the survivors who should have been nearby just a moment ago can no longer be heard. All that remains is his own breathing and the sound of dry claws echoing from somewhere far away.
The sound gets closer with every corner he turns. An unpleasant sound that clings to the ears, like scraping the stone floor or dragging something wet.
Looking back, an aberrant beast two sizes larger than a human appeared, crawling along the passage wall. Six legs grip the stone, and tentacles growing from its bloated torso squirm. At their tips, several small, baby-rat-like faces busy themselves opening and closing their mouths. A gasp escapes the man's throat.
Gete has the man locked in its sights. No hesitation, no observation. Simply because it found prey, it closes the distance single-mindedly. Running along walls, jumping to the floor, and leaping back to the opposite wall, its movements are strangely persistent despite its heavy appearance.
No matter how he runs, turns, or changes speed, Gete continues to pursue while letting out its cries. The man turned a corner almost falling, running with a half-scream. But the next moment, a tentacle extending from the wall overhead entangles his ankle. As he loses his balance, the massive six-legged body covers him all at once.
The short scream is swallowed by the wet sound of tearing flesh and vanishes. The labyrinth was not a "place to look for an exit," but a place where those who are caught are eaten one by one.
