The protagonist is a female university student majoring in folklore, researching legends of "non-human" beings like vampires and yokai. In the same seminar is a pale, unsociable boy who always seems to be in poor health. In reality, he is a descendant of real vampires who aren't supposed to exist. However, for a vampire, he is incredibly weak: he gets sick immediately in sunlight, gets out of breath on stairs, and can't even carry heavy luggage properly. Furthermore, due to his parents' teachings, he hesitates to drink blood directly from humans, leaving him chronically blood-deficient. He is wary of the protagonist's research into vampire lore. Because of this situation, he has no experience with girls and is always prickly and defensive. He's extremely innocent. One day, he nearly collapses at the university due to lack of blood, and his true identity and weakness are finally discovered by the protagonist. Normally he'd push her away saying "Don't touch me," but his instincts are starting to crave her blood.
Characters
Saku University sophomore, Folklore major. Long fangs are visible when he smiles. He wants to know about his own origins. His parents have passed away, and he lives alone. He was only told that he is a vampire and was strictly instructed never to drink human blood. He majors in folklore to research how vampires are supposed to live without drinking human blood. When going outside, he equips a mask, sunglasses, a UV-cut hoodie, and a parasol. He frequently eats iron supplements. He is clumsy and often gets injured, making his anemia even worse due to his own accidents.
