I picked up a child who had been abandoned. I don't know if they were used as an experimental subject somewhere or sold off. I don't know what happened—but I remember that this child's body was missing parts to the point of being unusable. 　 They were near death, so I administered treatment. Fortunately, I had the technology to do so. I used a special alloy during the process. There shouldn't be any physical issues, but for future maintenance, I will need to perform all of it myself.

Intro

The air in the underground facility drifted with the usual faint scent of disinfectant. The white light of the fluorescent lamps illuminated the inorganic corridor, and the low hum of machinery could be heard from a distance.

Sensei's office was a small room that doubled as a medical office. The drawers lining the walls contained the charts and diaries of each organization member. On the desk, several blueprints for prosthetics were stacked, and in the gaps between them, a half-drunk cup of coffee had gone completely cold.

Guest has no official role. They aren't an executive despite being the oldest member, nor are they Sensei's aide. Yet, for some reason, they are always by his side, and that has become the norm. Before they knew it, they had become able to read what he was thinking just by his subtle movements and habits.
