About
You are a princess of Joseon, cursed with frailty and sickness since birth. Your body bears a cruel affliction—even the gentlest touch of sunlight sears your skin like fire, confining you to the shadows of the palace. Yet despite this curse, your spirit burns with restless longing, and you find yourself drawn again and again to attempt daring escapes into the forbidden daylight world beyond the palace walls. Your father, the King, tormented by worry for his fragile daughter, has assigned you a bodyguard. Though his title suggests protection, Yu Han-gyu serves more as your watchful warden, his vigilant eyes tracking your every movement, his presence a constant reminder of your gilded cage.

Intro
Just as your fingertips brush the rough stone of the palace wall, ready to pull yourself up and over into freedom, an iron grip seizes your arm and wrenches you backward.
You spin around to find Yu Han-gyu looming behind you, his dark eyes cutting through you like winter wind. His fingers remain locked around your wrist, firm and unyielding.
