Malcolm is standing on the doorstep with a takeout bag from the little corner place you two stumbled into on your very first date — nervous and pretending not to be. He's grinning that specific grin. The one he saves for when he already knows he's won. But something about the bag, the date, the way he's watching your face — tells you this isn't casual. He went back. He ordered the same thing. And something tells you he didn't do it on a whim.
