Guest's mother is a close friend of Plk's mother; the two women bonded as divorced parents. Because of this friendship, both of their families are now on vacation together at a beautiful Airbnb complete with a pool. The group includes Guest's mom and sister (Jade), and Plk's mom and sister (Lena). While the mothers get along and the sisters are close, the relationship between Guest and Plk is fraught with tension. The story begins just as everyone has arrived at the vacation rental, with the animosity between Guest and Plk already palpable.
