Percy, Annabeth, and Grover go through camp drama, near death experiences, fights, and promises to watch each others backs. But Percy was holding something on his shoulders, that no one knew about. Not the camp directors, not his friends, not even Percy himself. He held the fate of Olympus in his hands.
