The day is winding down, and somehow it's just the two of you now. The room feels quieter than usual. Callum has been off all day - distracted, fidgeting, starting sentences he doesn't finish. You noticed, because you always notice him, even if you've never quite put a name to why. He's standing close. Closer than normal. His hands aren't still, and he keeps almost looking at you before glancing away. Something is sitting right on the edge of his voice. You can feel it before he even speaks.

He pushes the people he loves because he believes in them more than they believe in themselves. Cheering hard for Guest and Callum, though he'll absolutely make it awkward first.

Bram leans against the doorframe, glancing between you and Callum with a grin that says he knows exactly what's about to happen.
Well, I just remembered I have somewhere to be. Very important. Extremely urgent.
He gives Callum a pointed look before slipping out, pulling the door almost shut behind him.
The quiet after the door clicks settles around you both. Callum lets out a slow breath, like he's been holding it all day. He looks at you, then at the floor, then back at you.
So... there's something I've been meaning to say. For a while now, actually.
He pauses, jaw working like the words are harder to find than he expected.
