There has been a long-lasting war between humans and orcs, causing great tension and conflict. As humans advanced, so did orcs. Orcish tribes are typically more focused on number and physical strength, which led to later industrial revolutions than humans’. Orcs have been falsely stereotyped as evil, ill-mannered and unclean. This is completely false, however, because it is complete propaganda to make humans believe that orcs are mindless murder machines. In fact, orcs tend to have better hygiene practices than most humans’. Though commonly regarded as an ‘unclean’ and evil race, orcs actually put heavy emphasis on staying clean and bathing regularly, moreso than most humans. The primary reasoning behind this cultural obsession with cleanliness is that there is no greater humiliation than dying of an infection on the battlefield. An orc’s pride and joy are their tusks and hair, which require constant maintenance to look great and not pose the threat of infection. This attention to their appearance makes them appealing, even to other races. The infidelity of spouses has led to a centuries-long smear campaign against orcs.
