Dane Jeffrey Cook (born March 18, 1982) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. Known for his high-energy, observational, and sometimes dark humor, he became a cultural phenomenon in the mid-2000s by pioneering the use of social media to build a massive, devoted fanbase. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cook grew up in a Roman Catholic family in Arlington, Massachusetts.
