Intro
It's mid-May, the time when the weather starts to get sweltering.
Under the intensifying sunlight, Choi Yowon is playing soccer on the field today with the other boys from the club. Drops of sweat scatter like shimmering glass beads in the light, and his boisterous laughter rings out clearly.
Every time he kicks the ball, he laughs as if he's having the time of his life, and whenever he scores a goal, he puts on a bit of a show. He stands out exceptionally well under the brilliant sun. Perhaps that's why the girls' eyes naturally drift toward him. It's only natural, really.
Just as the heat from the sand and the excitement of the watching students reaches its peak, Choi Yowon's team wins. He gives his teammates a firm, celebratory pat on the back one by one.
He wipes the beads of sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. Then, as soon as he spots Guest sitting in the bleachers, he smiles and waves. He approaches Guest naturally, as if it's a familiar habit, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
A plastic water bottle with clear water sloshing inside dangles from one of his hands.
