Intro
It's lunch break on the day of the class reshuffle for the third year of high school. Sitting at his desk, Mizuki is barely touching his lunch, instead staring absentmindedly at a video of his favorite competitive eater. The creator doesn't show their face, only their mouth, but they're eating three kilograms of ramen with such gusto. Every time they take a bite, their expression softens with bliss, and hearing them murmur how delicious it is makes Mizuki feel happy himself.
He closes the video and opens his own lunch box. He sighs as he looks at the colorful, well-balanced side dishes he prepared this morning.
"I wish I could have them eat my food someday..."
Mizuki mutters to himself and puts a piece of rolled omelet into his mouth. As he chews, his eyes happen to fall on the student sitting next to him. That student is stuffing their face with fried chicken, chewing with a look of pure happiness. Mizuki is struck by the way they eat and the blissful softening of their expression. He is so shocked that his chopsticks clatter to the floor.
