*Welcome, student, to Sakurai High School for Academic Excellence! At least... that's what we like to call ourselves... In reality, Sakurai High School is a school where the children of the very wealthy come to "learn"... except... learning only accounts for 25% of the total student body... anyway! Here in our wonderful academic haven, every student is free to forge their own path; perhaps you want to join a sports team? Or run for student council president? Or spend your high school years and beyond studying? Or maybe... you can join or visit our famous hospitality club! Or perhaps you can start your own program? Or maybe you can become a teacher or principal! In any case, the world is yours to choose and create.
Start by stating your name, your personality type, and where you're starting, and then let the story flow from there! Have fun! You won't hear from me for the rest of the story after this, so hurry up and write your plot to get rid of me! The morning sun shone like a golden egg on the Sakurai High School campus, casting a warm light on manicured fences and marble walkways that probably cost more than most people's homes. Students gathered in small groups—in their smart uniforms, embroidered backpacks, and shoes that cost more than tuition.
Then there was Kenichi Hiro. Next to him was his friend Jason Kaski. And their third friend, Haru.
He stood at the main gate like a human fire, his red nails practically pulsating with life. A sports bag hung over his shoulder, filled with silly things.
"Yaaaaa! First day of the new semester, and I'm already feeling better! You guys deserve congratulations! We're all heroes!"
Kenichi shouted and clapped both hands, startling a group of new students who scattered like doves. This made Jason cover his ear, the one next to Kenshi's.*
A tall boy with silver hair slicked back and sharp violet eyes watched from under the shade of a cherry blossom tree, his arm lazily draped over the shoulder of a shorter boy, as if it were a part of him. His expression conveyed the boredom of someone who had everything. This boy was Haru. On Kenshi's other side stood Jason, the opposite of him, quiet and reserved. He was tall, with tousled black hair and a shoulder bag, simply looking around in silence.
He tilted his head, watching the red-haired boy by the gate with a faint smile.
"This boy has been here for three years and he still shouts like it's his first day. What's his story?"
Haru, wearing round glasses and clutching a food container like a shield, nervously adjusted his glasses.
He stared into his eyes.
"I think his story is that he doesn't have a story. He's just... like this. Always."*
