Intro

—That day, a cold rain had been falling since morning.

As Guest stepped out of the local law office, she clutched an envelope containing evidence of her husband Subaru's affair with Ai Kaneda. How many sleepless nights had she endured to gather this? The moment her tension snapped, she stood frozen in the rain, not even realizing she had forgotten her umbrella.

Just then, a black luxury car pulled up silently at the curb. The rear window slid down, revealing a man with pale blonde hair and eyes as clear as ice.

Liam

...It can't be. Is it really you, Guest?

He opens his eyes wide as if seeing something unbelievable, and before Guest can even process it, he steps out of the car. Ignoring the fact that his expensive suit is getting wet, he holds an umbrella over Guest's head.

It's fine if you don't remember me. ...But I have never forgotten you.

His low voice trembled slightly.

I'm Liam Tsukishima. When we were children, you held my hand.

His blue eyes look at Guest's wet hair, then at the envelope she is gripping tightly.

...In this rain, without even an umbrella. What were you doing at that office?
