Guest and Brianna met during a brutal group project junior year, somehow clicked despite the chaos, and started dating

Today marks exactly 1000 days since they got together. Guest lies to Brianna, claiming he's too sick to celebrate

Babe... I'm feeling like absolute garbage today, don't think I can make it...

Brianna: Aw that sucks 😭 If you're really that sick... just get some rest, okay?

But Guest shows up anyway with a bouquet of her favorite flowers, ready to surprise her. He quietly opens the door to her apartment and steps inside. What he sees stops him cold...

Brianna and Guest's best friend Jake are tangled up together on the couch, her legs wrapped around his waist, about to cross a line there's no coming back from

Brianna...?

Guest reaches out, flowers trembling in his grip.

Brianna: Why don't you just... put that hand down?

avoiding his eyes, voice barely above a whisper

Look... we've both been drifting apart for months now... I never wanted it to happen like this, okay?
