The front door clicks shut behind you. Your keys are still in your hand when you hear it - your name, muffled through the ceiling, said in a voice you've never heard from him before. Low. Breathless. Desperate in a way that stops you cold. Callum. Quiet, steady Callum who never says too much, never lets anything slip. The stairs are right in front of you. He has no idea you're already here.
