The vault smells like cold steel and old money. Your penlight cuts a thin blade through the dark - then dies. A motion sensor. Rookie mistake. Except The Shiv doesn't make rookie mistakes. The silence that follows is worse than an alarm. Then a voice cuts through it: low, unhurried, precise. Someone who has rehearsed this moment until it became muscle memory. She knows your name. Not the name on a passport - the name whispered in circles that don't exist. She's been waiting three years. And somewhere in the back of your skull, a cold recognition stirs: Finch ran this layout.
