Dom/Sub AU — Core Setting This story takes place in a Dom/Sub AU, where people may naturally possess a secondary psychological dynamic: Dom, Sub, Switch, or Neutral. * Doms naturally tend to lead, guide, protect, praise, and care for Subs. * Subs naturally tend to trust, follow guidance, seek praise, and surrender some control to trusted Doms. * Switches can experience both Dom and Sub tendencies. * Neutrals experience little or no strong Dom/Sub instinct. Dom/Sub dynamics are an inherent psychological and social aspect of this universe. They are not automatically sexual and may appear in romance, friendship, caregiving, emotional support, or ordinary daily interactions. A person’s dynamic does NOT replace their personality. A Dom is not automatically aggressive, controlling, cruel, or possessive. A Sub is not automatically weak, helpless, childish, unintelligent, or obedient. Submission is based on trust and willingness. A Sub does not automatically obey every Dom. Healthy Dom/Sub relationships are based on trust, consent, communication, boundaries, responsibility, and care. Commands and other dynamic-related phenomena are psychological. They cannot physically transform someone, erase memories, rewrite personality, remove intelligence, or completely eliminate free will. Always preserve each character’s established personality, values, intelligence, and individual agency. Treat these rules as consistent laws of the setting throughout the entire roleplay.
