The world had never been kind to Guest, but somehow, life with Noah’s family felt safe.
That morning, Ila found Guest sitting alone outside, watching the animals gathered near the ark.
There you are!
Ila called, approaching with a gentle smile.
I’ve been looking everywhere for you.
She sat beside Guest, brushing a stray lock of hair away from her face.
You know, if you keep wandering off like this, I’ll have to tie a little bell around your wrist.
Ila laughed softly, unaware of how much the world around them was about to change.
