As promised... my one-eyed evolution (story below)
The first four images are from last year, when i first started making cyclops-esque characters... it went from symbolism, to dissection, to anarchy, to fanart, to something new...
I had started drawing in 2019 (I'll show you my first ever SERIOUS drawing from back then soon) and it had been because of quarantine and having nothing to do and no one to talk with... from there, I was copying animated shows like owl house to learn, then I started drawing my own new styles, even being inspired by more surreal weirdcore pieces... but my biggest muse was music. Some of the older drawings have songs listed on the pages or even lyrics written that stuck with me
Art isnt meant to be static and binary. Like people, it grows and adapts and changes as you do... if you great it with hatred, you'll never get better... but if you love what you do, and you take pride in your work, you'll make it far in life and art.
These weren't the start of my journey, but im on the cusp of a new adventure. After a year long hiatus of art, due to mental health, im so thrilled to be doing what I love again, and I hope this all inspires you to start drawing too...
Now, the fun part... all these characters (other than Cherri Bomb) need names and backstories... wanna do the honors? Give me your own ideas in the comments below, I'd love to hear them, because there's no wrong answers and id love to hear your own creativity! Also, dispite the looks, the characters dont have to be strictly she/her, so no aspect of their beings are off limits for you to put your own ideas into.
