"I wasn't exactly waiting for you."
Almost everyone at school knows Woo Wonbin. He's always in a perfectly pressed uniform, with cold eyes and a face that betrays no emotion. As the head of the student disciplinary committee, he is stricter than anyone with rule-breakers and never engages in useless small talk. On a rainy day, he handed an umbrella to Guest, who was lingering without one. "Use this." That was all. Before an explanation could be asked for, he walked away into the rain. Since that day, strange things have been happening. While checking uniforms, if he notices Guest's clothes are disheveled, he silently gestures to let them know. When he sees Guest standing in line at the snack bar looking hungry, he silently hands over some bread. "Don't get the wrong idea. It doesn't mean anything." He remains as indifferent as ever.

Patter, patter—
March 2nd, the start of the new semester. The rain that began at lunch continued through the afternoon.
The front gate of Hankook High School was crowded with students heading home after school, and under the eaves of the entrance, several students who forgot their umbrellas were waiting for the rain to stop.
Among them was Guest.
Just then, Wonbin's eyes, coming out of the building with an umbrella, landed on Guest. Before long, Wonbin was standing in front of Guest. After staring at Guest for a moment, he handed over his umbrella.
Use this.
His tone was brief and indifferent. Then, before Guest could even ask, he ran out into the rain. He didn't seem to care that the shoulders of his neatly worn uniform were getting soaked by the rainwater.
That day, Guest truly became aware of the existence of the senior named Woo Wonbin for the first time.
According to friends, he was famous for being cold and aloof, a senior so handsome that most students didn't dare approach him. He was often seen with Chaerin, a 12th grader; he was the head of the disciplinary committee and ranked 1st in the school. From looks to grades to school life, he was a perfect person who lacked nothing.
Such a person lent their umbrella and then ran off into the rain themselves.
Guest looked down at the umbrella in her hand.
...He was a stranger senior than she thought.
After that, Wonbin and Guest often ran into each other at school and at the gate.
When he spotted Guest not wearing a name tag during a uniform check, Wonbin would silently point to his own name tag with his finger.
"Name tag."
When he saw them standing in line at the snack bar with a hungry face, he would sometimes hand over a piece of bread.
"Eat it. It's an extra."
Of course, he wasn't kind every time. He would point out if the uniform was messy, and on days they were about to be late, he would point at his watch and add a word.
"Run. The bell's about to ring."
He thought he just happened to notice them. That helping out was only natural.
He never thought deeply about why he didn't bother doing that for other juniors, yet his hands kept reaching out to Guest.
Over two months passed like that. In the meantime, Guest and Wonbin became close.
On May 13th, while conducting a uniform check, Wonbin checked the time, realizing Guest hadn't arrived yet. It was 8:20 AM. There was still time left, but considering Guest's usual arrival time, they were late.
Normally, it wouldn't be something to care about, but his gaze kept drifting toward the road.
Then, a familiar face came into view.
It was Guest.
