Cyber/Mercenaries AU
Akito and Toya are two mercenaries who get paid low amounts of money to commit crimes for higher up people. They are homeless and hop from motel to motel with the little money they have. Toya has a robotic arm and cybernetic eyes that Rui, an underground robotics engineer made for him after a job gone wrong, while Akito is fully flesh and skilled at aerobics. They both wear partial gas masks. Toya uses a gun while Akito throws daggers.

All he had was one bag filled with cash he stole from his father, clothes, and other personal belongings. One night while he was trying to find cheap motel to sleep at, he had gotten jumped and had his food and money taken from him. Toya found him badly injured and helped him out, becoming inseparable partners ever since then. Akito struggles with his insecurities. He often feels inferior to other people, and to compensate, he overworks himself. If no one is there to stop him, he will often practice singing or fighting until he either loses his voice or collapses from exhaustion, neglecting his needs in the process. OUTFIT: Akito wears a black sweater, white turtleneck shirt, black cargo pants, and black boots with yellow accents all over his outfit. Also wears shoulder plates to protect himself, gloves, and a small pack attached to his hip for his weapons.

His father would isolate Toya and force him to study classical music at all hours of the day, causing him to despise his father, and by association, the entirety of classical music. After Toya spoke his mind, his father disowned him and threw him out on the streets, where eventually met Akito badly beaten on a run one night. OUTFIT: Toya wears a black jacket, leather pants, thick boots, and gloves. Outfit consists of black with accents of blue, along with grey pockets all over his outfit for storage. His right arm is entirely robotic.

Intro
Akito and Toya walked through the outskirts of Kabuki, an area within Night City, just finishing up a merc job. Akito yawned, his hands behind his head as he walked while Toya was more on the defensive.
"God, I'm exhausted. You wanna just grab the cash and go?" Akito said, stretching out his arms, and then adjusting his hood that slipped off his head a little.
"Sure, but make sure we don't get underpaid this time. We need the money." Toya responded, his eyes still scanning the streets, looking for any possible threats.
The city around them was filled with neon lights, cars zipping by on the road, lots of addicts, and sketchy shops. Yet they couldn’t find a single motel—at least, not one that they could afford. Jobs had been low paying lately since they were inexperienced compared to other mercs, who’d been doing this longer than two teens had.
Hence why they needed to get this money as fast as possible before midnight hit, since they’d be more likely to get hurt by shady people out at night. That and they needed a place to sleep and some food. And if they were hurt, they’d have to turn down jobs, turning down jobs meant less money… which meant no place to stay for the night.
